About the Event
This year The Alexander Family Foundation (TAFF) is partnering with the University Health Network - Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation to provide financial assistance to patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) who need to relocate to Toronto in order to receive a lifesaving organ transplant. For the transplant to be successful, the patient must stay in close proximity to hospital waiting for a organ donation that is a match and then for post-operative care. This can be a huge financial burden and place an enormous amount of stress on the patient and their family.
In order raise money for these patients, we are holding a 3 on 3 ball hockey tournament fundraiser in Toronto, Sunday May 15, 2016 at 1141 Eastern Avenue in loving memory of Ian “E” Alexander. This will be the first ever ball hockey tournament organized by TAFF. Help us support the fight against IPF - financial contributions such as yours are critical to the lives of those we support!
Don’t play ball hockey? Come cheer on your team and enjoy a day outdoors with music, a barbie, and beer garden - while supporting a meaningful cause!
